Customer Question

2011 Infiniti FX 35 blower stopped working yesterday. I noticed the blower fuses were burnt out. I put new ones in, and they blew as soon as I put them in as well. I tried again, and same thing.
JA: Have you checked the vehicle's manual yet?
Customer: no
JA: Are you fixing your FX yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I just replaced the fuses that seemed to have blown out
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hello I will help,

The fuses blew as soon as you put them in or when you turned on the blower?

Was the key on when you installed them?

What fuses are you seeing blown?

Customer: replied 3 months ago.
As soon as I turned on the vehicle they blew. I heard a slight pop. The key was not in when I installed them the first time ( an hour ago) and the second time the key was in and they blew again. Both blower fuses blew (15a)

The blower motor is shorted but the fuses do not get power until the key is turned on and the blower relay gets power.

Are you sure they blew before the key was turned on?

If you are you need to unplug the blower and try one fuse with the key off. If it does not blow right away then turn the key on, if it still does not blow replace the blower motor.
