Customer Question

My '08 EX35, once warmed up, hesitates when moving from a dead stop and shutters in between shifting once at highway speeds. The shutter is most evident when resuming speed after coasting. (ie. approaching a red traffic light) The Infiniti dealership says I need to replace both front exhaust valve timing magnetic retarders with gaskets (both timing covers). A $2100.00 hit. Could there be a simpler explanation for these symptoms? Thanks Frank

Do you have a Service Engine Soon light on when the car is running? If so, do you happen to know what codes you have?
