Hello, my name is ***** ***** I am a professional here at Justanswer. Thank you for your question and I will assist you with your concern.

Your check engine light comes on when the computer system sees a system fault and when this happens the computer will detect it and set and store a fault code and or codes. In order to determine what is causing this you need to start first with having the computer system scanned and the fault code and or codes retrieved. Most auto parts store such as Auto Zone will do this scan for you at no charge. If you can get this done and post back with them I can advise from there.
