Customer Question

Hi, I'm rebuildIing a 2013 G37 that had a damaged ecm. I purchased the correct used ecm. Alldata states that the replacement ecm vin must be registered to work. I understand this to be a separate process from registering/coding the intelligent key to the car. I asked the locksmith specifically if he coded the new ecm to the car in addition to his coding the key to the ecm. The car will not start or crank and gives codes u1000 and u1001. Is the locksmith matching the key to the bcm/ecm sufficient to register the new ecm to the vehicle or was a step missed?
