Ref. 2000 Infinity Q-45. The right side low beam head light

Customer Question

Ref. 2000 Infinity Q-45.
The right side low beam head light will go off intermittent. When I turn the light switch from off to on, it will come back on. Later it will go back off. I do not get any indication of a burned out head light on the instrument panel, like I should.
Please help!

Hello my name is ***** ***** thank you for your question.

This sounds like you are having a head light ballast issue. The ballast is what powers up the bulb. When the ballast goes bad, it can cause the light to come on, and go out or work intermittently like you are stating, or it will keep the light from not working at all.

So you would need to replace the ballast to resolve your issue.

Sorry computer froze, had to reboot.

The ballast is located under the head light assembly. To replace it the head light assembly is removed to access it. It's not something that is easy to replace.
