Customer: New Zealand
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: I signed the contracted 4 business days ago
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?

This is technically a breach of contract if you cancel after you have signed. But since you have not actually started there are no losses which flow from the breach of contract, and there is nothing which the employer can do. They cannot force you to go to work and start.
