JA: What state are you in? It matters because laws vary by location.
Customer: Hastings, Hawkes Bay
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: Everything has been done through our lawyer
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: Our lawyer tells us that under no circumstances am I permitted to carry on mowing lawns for a period of 2years...that is my livelihood,& I have a mortgage to pay..I'd be more than happy to carry on with the franchise..but have not been given any extra work by the Regional Franchise for at least 6months & I continue to pay weekly fees like I'm required to

It's not easy to say exactly whether you can keep mowing lawns without seeing the franchise agreement, but I find it a bit difficult to understand why you cannot work and mow lawns if people ask you to. Perhaps the agreement prevents you from using the list of existing customers and this could be the issue.

Is that the issue?
