Customer Question

Hi and thanks. I'm living overseas and wish to get divorced from my wife in NZ. Roughly, how much does this cost and how much time is involved? Many thanks!

We have lived apart for 2.5 years.

Most people do this themselves without using a lawyer. There are two ways, the first is a joint application, which can be completed fairly quickly, as in about 4 to 8 weeks from filing the papers. You can as an alternative file a single applcation which has to be formally served on your wife. This would take around 2 to 4 months.
