Is it legal to record a conversation i have with a car dealer to use as proof at a Motorvehicle disputes tribunal?

Chris The Lawyer : Hi and welcome. My first response will follow shortly. Please feel free to follow up if anything is not clear.
Chris The Lawyer : The rule about recording a discussion is that you should tell the other party that you are making the recording. If you do not the you can be criticised for being unfair by recording this without consent. However it is up to the Tribunal as to whether they admit this or not.
Chris The Lawyer : They will most likely permit it to be used however.
Chris The Lawyer : The test is unfairness in making the recording
