I was recently charged with "Speeding likely to cause death or injury." I was disqualified from driving for six months and also fined $2000.00.My question: Is this a Traffic Offence or Criminal Offence.

The terms criminal offence and traffic offences are loosely used. Many would say this is a traffic offence, because an option for this would have been to charge you under the manslaughter provisions of the Crimes Act, which is a criminal offence. You would have been charged under the Land Transport Act. In that act offence is defined as "offence against this Act includes an offence against or prescribed by the regulations" which would seem to indicate you could say this offence, is a Land Transport Act offence, or a traffic offence.
