I installed a pool without consent, although I comply. I had promised the kids a pool for summer but unfortunately became unemployed, but proceeded installation non the less.How do i now go about gaining consent.

You should go to the council and explain what you have done and ask them to approve and inspect retrospectively. They may be willing to do this if it is easy to inspect and the work is easy to check. Discuss this with the building inspector and explain why you didnt apply at the right time. They may be OK with this. However if they decide to get technical you need to start again-they do not have to permit the retospective permits and certificates
