What is the difference between neuropathy and fiber myalgia?

Customer Question

What is the difference between neuropathy and fiber myalgia? How would I be able to basically self diagnose? I have a terrible fear of leaving my house.

Hello Brandy and welcome. I'm Dr Chip

To answer your question I'd need to know your symptoms in detail

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
I have non stop pain it seems. Often times there is numbness with a deep deep aching that travels. My joints or ligaments are in constant pain. I have trouble walking and even distracting myself from pain.
Expert:  Dr Chip (M.D.) replied 5 months ago.

How long has this been going on?

And does this affect all your limbs and your back?

Customer: replied 5 months ago.
It seems as if I've always had pain. But, that can't possibly be true, can it? I know its been since I was 15 at least. But, now, its intollerable.

Have you seen a doctor about it and, again--does it affect all your limbs and back?
