I am inquiring about an injury my wife who is 63 received

Customer Question

Hello! I am inquiring about an injury my wife who is 63 received last night while dancing. It is her left knee. She has a small swollen spot directly on the back side
of her knee. A blood vessel looks broken or crooked. That comment is based on comparing the look of her right back knee.

Hi there

A comparison with the other knee is the most valuable exam. At his stage, after all what she tried, this is not an injury she should continue to self-manage. She needs to have this checked out at the Emergency Room NOW. She needs an Xray and possibly MRI. There could be a fracture or a meniscus tear that would require surgical treatment. In mean time, no weight bearing on that knee.
