I am an ultra runner. I train about 50-70 miles a week. I have random inflammation. Knee (fine now), ankle (fine now), Spine (still hurts), now top of foot over bones from toes (can't walk easily). I was starting to wonder if I have an infection. Also have a rash I thought was from my running shorts but its too big and symmetrical on both sides of inner thighs
JA: What seems to make the symptoms worse or better? Have you noticed any swelling?

It would not likely be an infection.

Too diffuse and intermittent.

See an internal medicine doctor.
