i hadI woke up this morning and I put my foot on the ground and it felt like I had a broken ankle, It was excrutiating pain It has hurt all day when I walk on it or move it What could it be? I haven't injured it in any way. What could cause this pain?

Gout could cause this to happen.

So could other forms of arthritis.

So could a stress fracture.
