This may be what we call "pulsatile tinnitus". It is a common condition due to the proximity of the large blood vessels in the neck that pass close to the hearing apparatus.
As long as it goes away spontaneously, it is less worrisome. The essentially normal MRI is also very reassuring. Did they include the neck?
Also, is your head pain on the same side as the pulsations?
