Drenching night sweats often indicate an infectious process. You should have a TB test and possibly an X-ray as well. Consider a CBC (blood count) with peripheral smear, as well, to rule out a problem in the blood. If inconclusive, ask for a referral to an infectious disease specialist, especially if you are having fevers or have traveled outside the US in the past 6 months or so.
