Hello!

It sounds that you may have olecranon bursitis. This may cause fluid accumulation within a bursa ( this is a closed hollow structure that serves to cushion the outer prominence if the elbiw) The bursa may protrude outward and may be treated by your doctor to draw off fluid. We examine the character of the fluid to see if clear yellow or bloody , etc...

Drawing off fluid and injecting small amount of steroid and pressure dressing may help this ...

Bout is a potential cause....trauma to the elbow is a potential cause.

I hope that this information is helpful for you.Let me know if you have further questions or concerns.I will be happy to get back with you.If my answers have been helpful and to your satisfaction then please remember to leave positive feedback.Thank you and Best Regards,

Anthony Bray MD
