Customer Question

This morning I woke up with a very swollen right hand. First ever. I have severe pain in my hands about 70% of the time. I am waiting for appt with hand specialist since my other doctors can't figure it out (including rheumatologist). What is causing swelling? What can I do to get it to go down?
By the way I have a bad headache starting yesterday that I still have today.
