Last 5 months I have noticed twitches mostly when laying

Customer Question

Hi Doctor, For the last 5 months I have noticed twitches mostly when laying down or sitting. My right leg occurs more often in my little toes, above knee, calf, and thigh. Also for a few days last week I had a constant twitch in my left shoulder blade
for like 2-3 days then it went away. Also my twitches are just for a second then go away sometimes they happen within a short time of one another or not for a while. I don't notice them when walking or working out once in awhile standing for something but
normally at the end of the day when I'm laying down. Also I worked out last night but noticed a feeling of slight weakness in my right leg. If you can give me some advice I made the mistake of googling and found out about MS or ALS and I am totally freaked
out. I did ask my GP but he just brushed it aside possibly as low vitamin deficiency. If you can provide me with some advice. I even measured my right thigh to see if there is atrophy and noticed a difference in my right thigh but I don't have a tape measure
but looks as if my right thigh is a little smaller then my left is normal but anyways I freaked myself out. Sorry for dragging it on. I am a 27 year old male by the way. Thank You

do you work out a lot?

Customer: replied 1 year ago.
Actually no I am trying to get back into it. I have a busy schedule working and I'm in grad school. Also I do play golf not a ton but I grew up playing that's a reason why I was thinking maybe that's why my left leg is a little stronger because I load weight onto it through my swing.

I doubt this is anything serious like ALS

It is probably a combination of things like getting back into exercise, stress, etc

Dehydration can do it too

I would get a good exam by your primary doctor and some basic labs. If all looks well, I think you are fine
