Hello and thank you for your question. The craniotomy defect is something that is a remnant of the surgery. Unfortunately there is nothing that can be done about the craniotomy deficit. Gliosis is essentially a form of fibrosis. Gliosis can lead patients to develop seizures. Typically patients who have AVMs are at an increased risk for seizures. In patients who have had bleeds or have undergone, I have commonly placed these patients on anti-epileptic medications. You will need intermittent scan of the brain atleast every 6 to 12 months. Since you have one AVM, it is possible that you may have more. It is important to control your blood pressure to prevent bleeds.
please get back to me if you have any further questions. Thank you.
How about the C-5,6 severe spinal stenosis
