I have a pulsating feeling in my lower lip that has gone on

Customer Question

I have a pulsating feeling in my lower lip that has gone on for ten days Ihave been treated for 5 years for high blood pressure and A-fib. Is this pulsating a sign of a mini stroke or a tia?.

Thanks for your question.
Pulsating feeling in the lower lip can be due to the high blood pressure.
Also medications can cause this as side effect as well.
Another possibility is the new onset of lower lip tremors.
Parkinson's disease can cause this type of tremor.
Hence that should be ruled out.
The stroke or TIA also can cause lip tremors but less common.
Weakness of the face or lips is more common.
In many cases, this can be a harmless tremor late onset.

Hence, you need to see a neurologist to rule out parkinson's first.

Best wishes,
