I have found out I have a narrowing of the disks in my neck (right side in particular) and some spurring as well. It has been suggested that I have a cortisone injection from a pain specialist. I am not in pain. I have a sharp electrical "pain" that occurs with a particular twisting motion or movement. Not often but enough to be alarming. Would it be best to have a neurologist see my xrays or should I investigate further before having a needle stuck in my neck? I am 58 years old and I understand cortisone eventually stops working.Lovonne

So I guess what I am asking is are there any other options besides medication or shots? like chiropractic adjustments or massage or acupuncture?
