I have a Yamaha S-400E 6ft 3in grand piano, Purchased new July of 1991 in Perfect condition, would like to know approximately what I can expect to sell it for. Retailed at 40K.

Hi, thanks for your question! The "S" models are certainly a step above the standard Yamaha pianos and even a bit better than their Conservatory line. Yamaha still makes a couple of models in the "S" series. Today, the equivalent model to yours sells in the $60k range depending on dealer. Based on your description of age, condition and figuring depreciation in value over time, I would recommend a selling range of approximately $23,600-$25,500 depending on your area market.
