what would be the value of a chickering upright baby grand piano from approx 1955
Already Tried: quick look on-line did not find a piano for upright baby grand
Hello,My name is XXXXX XXXXX X am a Personal Property Appraiser specializing in Musical Instruments and I am here to help! Chickering was a very high quality brand in the 1800's and early 1900's but it did change as other companies took over the name and manufacturing process. Pianos depreciate with age so with yours being almost 60 years old that will have a big impact on value. I'm assuming it was tuned yearly and is in otherwise excellent condition for this purpose. Using my resources to look into your inquiry, I was able to find comparable sales that give your PIECE a current secondary market value of $3,100 - $4,000 USD at auction or in a private sale. I hope this answers your question! If you would like any additional information or have more questions please don’t hesitate to ask! Please remember to only rate my answer when you are 100% satisfied. IF you feel the need to click either "Helped a little" or "I expected more", please stop and reply to me via the REPLY or CONTINUE CONVERSATION button with the issue you have. I will be happy to continue further and do everything I can to provide you with the service you seek. Thanks!
