2003 Wide Glide. Petcock diaphragm was torn, so I replaced

Customer Question

2003 Wide Glide. Petcock diaphragm was torn, so I replaced with OEM petcock. Now bike will not idle. New gas line and vacuum hose. After finding out that bike will not idle, I removed carb and no trash inside. Jets were clean. Any help is appreciated.
JA: When did you last fill the tank? And do you smell gasoline around the engine?
Customer: Fill tank on regular basis. No smell of gas.
JA: What is the model of your '03 motorcycle?
Customer: Dyna Wide Glide
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: New gas line an vacuum hose from petcock to carb. New OEM petcock.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: No

Hi and welcome to the site, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, what is the burn color of the spark plug tip?

Still and strictly based on "...New...vacuum hose...will not idle...", then it could possibly be a vacuum leak (most likely) and/or a too rich mix (least likely). Re-check the new vacuum hose, fitting and connection points.
