Customer Question

well like an idiot I thought I was loosening oil drain bolt, but no! a spring and short metal rod w/a plastic tip fell out. I am not sure what order it goes back in! Is it spring, then bolt, plastic tip touching spring, then bolt?
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: I completed the oil change!
JA: What is the model/year of your motorcycle?
Customer: Honda Elite 80 made in 2000
JA: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I think I just need to know the order that the spring and bolt go in.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?

It sounds like you may have removed the cam chain tensioner, click on the link below, parts 4,5,6,9,10 are what I believe you are referring to.

Does plastic tip of rod go in first then spring?
Expert:  Christopher replied 5 months ago.

Head, rod, spring, washer, bolt.

It should all fit together and slide in place as one assembly.
