I have a 2017 Polaris Ranger 900 EPS. Brand new- picked up

Customer Question

I have a 2017 Polaris Ranger 900 EPS. Brand new- picked up yesterday. During my first ride, there is an odor, smells like hot rubber. Is this just the vehicle breaking in, or do I have a problem I need to investigate
JA: What year is your Ranger?
Customer: 2017
JA: Are you fixing your Ranger yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: This is a brand new vehicle. Picked it up yesterday. It has .2 hours on it.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: no

Hello, my name is***** likely the coatings on the exhaust system and engine components burning off. It is no because it is breaking in, just coatings and materials that are new and releasing odors because they are new. If you do not see any physical smoke, then do not worry about it. The odor will slowly go away.

I hope this helps!
