The headlights on my 2006 Suzuki sv650s don't stay/come on.

Customer Question

The headlights on my 2006 Suzuki sv650s don't stay/come on. I wiggle the wires coming off the yellow plug that plug into the wiring harness to the headlights and they'll come on, but then go out. I checked for continuity but no luck.
JA: Have you checked the fuses? Have you checked the bulbs?
Customer: yes, both. I'd just like to hot wire the headlights now
JA: What is the model of your '06 Suzuki?
Customer: its a sv650s that the past owner put standard bars on (I think thats where the problem started)
JA: Are you fixing your vehicle yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: I got a multi meter and checked continuity by putting a pin thru each wire but couldn't find a break
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: nope,

Hi, I’m Louie. Sorry you had to wait awhile but I’ll do my best to help.

Initially, proposed preliminary try (if have not been done) is to hardwire a second ground line from the headlight socket's black/white wire to the Suzuki's body/frame.

Once the ground connection is done, then check the yellow and white wires.

Also consider cleaning the connectors with plastic safe / non-staining CRC 2-26, DeoxIT DN5 or LPS 03116 Contact Cleaner or equivalent.
