Hi. My name is ***** ***** I would appreciate the opportunity to help with your question.

Expert:  Steve replied 3 months ago.

the oil is not leaking when the bike is setting in the garage.

the oil is leaking from the crankcase into the primary while you are riding the motorcycle.

this is a well documented issue with that year HD crankcases.

the leak is actually between the crankcase and the bearing race.

** the ONLY fix is new crankcases with a machined in left side bearing race.**

HD had been real good about providing free cases with the correct VIN as long as you paid the shop to perform the labor.

it's worth your while to ask your local HD dealership.
