Customer Question

I have a 2010 Roadglide. Servicing my transmission, theremovable was a little metal slug about just a hair over a 1/4" long and about 7/32 dia. on the magnetic drain plug. It looks like it's covered with some kind of plastic coating. Transmissing seems to shift fine and no out of the ordinary noise. I did just put a new clutch cable on it about 3 weeks ago.

Hi. My name is ***** ***** I would appreciate the opportunity to help with your question.

your "slug" sounds like a dowel from the side cover.

see #11 and #17, this link http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/ronnies/showmodel.asp?Type=13&make=hdmc&a=786&b=16&c=0&d=2010%20FLTRX%20ROAD%20GLIDE%AE%20CUSTOM%20(KH)%20TRANSMISSION%20BEARINGS%20W/%20SIDE%20COVERS

one of them could have been dislodged when you replaced the cable.

Thanx Steve, I'll check it out.

Steve. Both dowels are there. That's not it.

well, it's too large to be a needle bearing.

the only thing else that size is the locator for the shift forks, but if it was that you'd have lost a gear or two.

as long as everything is functioning correctly and not making any funny noises, I'd run it.
