Why I smell antifreeze on my 1999 Yamaha vmax. Checked

Customer Question

Why I smell antifreeze on my 1999 Yamaha vmax. Checked coolant level, I am not losing any coolant. Checked all hose connections, no leaks. Did a pressure test, can't find any leaks. I am running out of ideas to why and where the issue is.

Hi, My name is***** will be glad to try to help. If no external leaks are noted then it is possible the coolant is burning out the exhaust from a head or head gasket problem or the leak is so minor it evaporates from the heat of the engine running. It is odd that a pressure test revealed nothing. Check for white ash deposits from dried coolant.
