Customer Question

I have a 99 Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 800CC. I added synthetic oil and the clutch started slipping. I was later told not to use synthetic oil for this bike.
My question is are the clutch discs still usable oil should I replace them?

10,000 miles and I used Rotella. I miked the discs and they are well within spec
Expert:  Kenny O. replied 11 months ago.

OK Rotella is basically a car or truck oil, I don't think they actually make a motorcycle oil, are you in the United States ?

Customer: replied 11 months ago.
US. I'll pass. I won't be comfortable with your answer. Thanks anyways. Steve

Well Steve I had a wealth of information for you, we have to start at the basic with a lot of our clients as we don't know the level they are at. Sorry you feel that way, I have helped a lot of Kawasaki owners through the years and dealers as I was on Kawasaki's tech line for almost 25 years, I was there when your motorcycle was developed. I will opt out and let one of the other experts help you out, thanks for using Just Answer.
