How do you adjust choke on Honda Valkyrie?

The only adjustment is for slack in the cable. The cable from the handlebar lever attaches to the choke linkage bracket under the chrome cover on the left bank of carbs with the three phillips head screws. At the end of the cable is the first adjuster for slack. To the rear of the linkage is the second cable that attaches to the right bank of carbs. This cable also has an adjuster on it to remove slack.

What tools are required to make this adjustment. Is there any chance of messing up anything?
Expert:  TIMOTO replied 1 year ago.

tools: phillips head screwdriver and 10mm open end wrench

Adjust the handlebar to carb cable first to remove the slack. You will not be able to get all of it out on this model. Then look at the movement of the choke plungers as they open. Both sides should open at the same time. If not adjust the second connecting cable so that they do. It is a simple and straight forward job.
