I have a 1980 vespa piaggiao moped. I can not get it to start. It has been in storage for several years and it ran when stored. any ideas on what might be wrong. does this model have ignition points?

the ignition on these is all controlled with an electronic module / spark box so its quite possible that the box is faulty or the speed sensor is faulty

and I'd say 1st check all the earth connections are clean and tight and if Ok then its probably look into replacing the spark module
