The starter is pretty easy to change on your bike. I'm not sure how to rate the difficulty as I don't know your mechanical ability. I can send the instructions and let you decide whether or not you want to tackle it. I'll get the instructions together and post a link to them below. Thanks, P.J.

Look over the instructions and see what you think. You can also actually see the starter operate (or try to) when you remove the outer primary cover.
