Customer Question

Hey, probably a silly question, I have a 2002 road King with true duals and Vance and Hines slip ons. Question: will I get a deeper sound if I cut the baffles in half and reinstall? Also, will I have enough back pressure? Thanks!

You won't get a deeper sound. It will likely be just the opposite. It will also probably be a little louder but even that wouldn't be very noticeable. Modifying the baffle will not change the back pressure in any negative way. If a deeper sound is your goal then you can remove the baffle and check the packing. Yours may or not already have it. Adding or changing the packing to fresh, dry packing that is less tightly packed will deepen the sound for a while. All packing eventually gets tightened up from exhaust pressure which reduces noise cancelling effects. I hope this helps. Thanks, P.J.
