hello,
Is this by chance a result from getting the bike out of storage or something similar?
Customer: replied 1 year ago.

No it had been running fine up until i changed the battery.Even with the ignition shut off the fuel pump will run at times but engine doesn't turn over and gas pours out the tail pipe.

No it has been running great but after i changed the battery the fuel pump wont quit running and it pumps gas out the exhaust and carbs sometimes even with key shut off and removed until gas tank is empty. Thanks Dale

Welcome,

Have you checked the float valve in the carb?
Even if the pump runs the float needle valve
inside the carb should stop the carb from flooding.
Fuel pump relay may be stuck on. Were any wires
moved or pinched when the battery was changed?

IF FUEL PUMP RELAY IS STUCK WHAT DO YOU DO BUY A NEW ONE? IF IT IS THE FLOAT VALVE IN THE CARB WHAT DO YOU DO.

Hi,

I think it might be the system relay that is stuck.
You can try swapping the relays around
or try a new one.

The float bowl would have to be removed and the needle
valve under the float checked or replaced if it leaks
fuel when the float is up.

The float should shut the fuel off when the bowl is full
even if the pump is on.
