We have an old 1968 Harley and are wanting to find the value of it. The only information I have is that it is a Body Type - MC and the serial number, 68SS8104. I would like to find out the model it is too. If you could help we would appreciate it. Thanks, Don and XXXXX XXXXX

Hello
I have all of the HD manuals and books, but putting my fingers on the info when I need it is another mater!
You have a 1968 250CC SS Sprint motorcycle.
It was made in Italy by Aermacchi for Harley Davidson. They produced all of the single cylinder bikes sold by Harley.
Give me a moment to look up the price for it.
These prices come from my motorcycle auction guide. They are actual prices that bikes have sold for or would be expected to sell for at a motorcycle auction.
In perfect showroom condition, that model is rated at $4,200. In Excellent condition, $3,360. In very good condition, $2,520. In good condition $1,890. in average condition $1,260. In poor condition $840.
You would expect to get less on ebay or in a local sale. The highest money paid is always at vintage motorcycle auctions. There is a big one in the midwest, here in Minnesota, one in Florida and one in Vegas. You always see the Vegas one on TV.
Do you need any additional information on your motorcycle?
Just hit the reply or respond tab to chat. Use the rating tab only when we are done.
Sometimes there is a chat error. Did you get the model and price information I posted above?
Thanks, the only other question would be, can you recommend a good place to buy parts for restoration of our bike?
PS--We live in southern Indiana
There are a couple of sites that specialize in those parts. Give me a moment to locate that. Parts are easy to find in Italy, but a little tougher here.

I would also check on ebay.
If it's a rare part, you may need to go out of the country for it, but you can find almost anything if you dig around a bit.
Thanks Kawasaki Doug! You've been a great help and we had been having a hard time finding the info! I will definetly give you a great rating! Was worth the money!
If you need more help, come back and let me know. I specialize in vintage motorcycle restoration.
Thanks, can I ask for you?
Yes, or just put for Doug in the title of the question and I'll see it.
Thanks, I will probably be back later, have a great day.....Carol
Thank you.
