Welcome. Thank you for choosing Just Answer.the 1948 models were not pan-shovels.it sounds like your bike has been modified?????if you have specific questions about the wiring, please ask them, but for me to tell you how to wire the ignition switch to a stock bike may not be of much use.Steve
modified. switch has bat,ign, and l or acc.6 wires.1 bat,2 ign (gen &coil),3 lights stop switch,tail,head ?
are you looking for reliability or restoration?has the bike been converted to 12v or is it still 6v?tell me everything you can.Steve
