i have a 2001 90 polaris, ive taken out the bolt at the throttle speed control but when the throttle is opened all the way it bogs down. im assuming this is due to the safety switch. any way to bypass it completely? or is there something i can do to the carb?
Optional Information: Year: 2001 Make: polaris Model: sportsman Engine: 90 Already Tried: removing bolt on throttle control, adjusted throttle cable.carb is good and clean
dose it feel like a miss in the engine so it does not rev out. or it bogs like a fuel issue?
The safety is the issue, accelerate too far from the safety switch and the rpms get cut off. I'd like To bypass the safety for when I ride it
their is no limiter on this unit other than the throttle stop. polaris has a ETC in the throttle for a stuck throttle that will cut out when the cable is stuck and the throttle lever is released. the black gray wire to the throttle housing needs to be jumped to by pass that safty device.
Jump it from where to where
on the connector coming to the throttle. disconnect it and jump the gray wire to the black wire on the harness side of the connector.
