Hi
Can u please explain how u checked for a spark ?

Bike-Doc :

Check for 12+ volts at coils & check all associated wring & connectors back to the CDI

Bike-Doc :

Will switch to Q&A to give u time to respond

Hi

Check for 12+ volts at coils & check all associated wring & connectors back to the CDI

Check pulser coils for resistance 300 - 500 Ohms is standard & no connectivity to earth

i used a nowen good coil to test fire still nothing the person that ownes it told me he hooked a 12 volt sprayer pump to the bike and smoke came out from under the seat
Oh dear
Where did he connect the sprayer & can u see any melted wires / parts?
If there is 12 volts at the coil, & pulser coils, wiring & connectors are OK, then the CDI unit has blown
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
where do i find 12 v before coil and what color wires can you tell me
Hi
With Ign on there shd be 12 volts at the primary side of the ign. coil (where thin wires attach)
Check by touching neg. voltmeter probe to casing & pos.probe to orange (or is it red) it does not matter if the other connector is touched
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
there is no 12 volt at the coil
Hi
Looks like u will have to do it the long winded way
Check for 12 volts at :-
Main switch, Ign fuse, kill switch (& into CDI - red wire when cranking)

Also check neutral light is on & reverse is off
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
the switch has 12 the green is on and fuse is good but no 12 at cdi
Customer: replied 6 years ago.
what should i try next ????
Hi
It is most likely the CDI box but there is no way of testing it
There will only be power at the CDI red wire when the engine is cranking

Check :-
Charging/rotor rotation direction detection coil resistance -
Tester (+) lead → Red terminal Tester (–) lead → White/Blue terminal, 0.085 ~ 0.105 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F)

Pickup coil resistance: 459 ~ 561 Ω at 20 °C (68 °F) (White/Red – White/Green)

All wiring & connections in the ignition circuit

If all the above fails to find the cause then it is the CDI that is at fault

Good Luck
