Customer Question

I have a 2009 Vulcan 500. I'd like to know how many watts of accessories I can add without overloading the alternator? I'd like to add a heated vest and gloves that total maximum draw of 113 watts. Is this more than the 500's alternator can handle?

Hi and welcome to JustAnswer,

To my understand, the Vulcan is capable of supplying 10 Amps of accessory load (~ 120watts).

Good luck and thank you for asking JustAnswer.
