Hi Jeff,

point gap should be set to .018" on the wide lobe, then checked on the narrow lobe for .016"-.020".

if the narrow lobe check is not within that tolerance, it indicates the point shaft bolt is bent. tap it back into alignment and repeat the setting procedure.
