A dead battery.The chrome housing is..compression..screwdriver

Resolved Question:

Hi, I own a 2001 Dyna Low Rider with a dead battery. The chrome housing is in two parts. The main case and a lid. I cannot remove the lid.It appears to slide out and is held by compression, but it moves very little when I pry it with a screwdriver (gently).I don't want to break something. How do I remove the chrome battery housing cover?

You need to loosen the bolts #13 and 14 that hold the battery box in...and then it will drop allowing you to remove the cover
