Customer Question

Upon twisting the throttle, the enging rpm decreases, after a second or two, the scooter accelerates normally.

2005 Honda Ruckus

Already Tried:
tested fuel pump. checked out all sensors. Virtually everything remotely related as per the shop manual. Changed fuel filter. disassembled and cleaned carb. rest computer. changed air filter.

Hi rufus818,
The symptom you describe is a classic lean hesitation.
Have you tried adjusting the fuel screw?
Did you check your float level when you cleaned the carb?
What was it set at?
Is everything else all stock(A/F, exhaust?)
Did this happen all of a sudden or after the bike had been sitting?
Any additional details you can provide would help resolve your issue.
