I have a 2014 mitsubishi outlander and the hands free system

Customer Question

I have a 2014 mitsubishi outlander and the hands free system is locked. How can I disable it
JA: How many miles are on the car? Has this ever happened before?
Customer: 37,000 and no never
JA: Are you fixing your Outlander yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Different passcodes, but nothing. I tried pressing the hang up button a few times
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: Just that I can't use the bluetooth because of the system being locked. Is there an actual way to disable it?

Hello and welcome to JustAnswer!

It isn't uncommon for a hands free module to lock up electronically and work again at least temporarily with a power cycle. Have you tried a battery disconnect?
