Ignition switch is bad, and I need to know how complicated

Hello. ignition switch is bad, and I need to know how complicated it would be for me to replace. part is only $20
JA: Has the car been stalling out?
Customer: no, it it difficult to start. sometimes it takes several attempts for it to turn over
JA: What is the model/year of your Mitsubishi?
Customer: 2002 eclipse GT Spyder
JA: Are you fixing your Eclipse yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: yes, nothing yet. The local repair shop diagnosed problem. Said it was ignition switch.
JA: Anything else you want the mechanic to know before I connect you?
Customer: It also has anti-theft system from factory.

It's not terribly hard to replace. It would take about 2 hours. There are very few diagrams published showing how it's done, but I could see what I can find in one more of my reference books if you think it would help.

please. That's what I was hoping for. Also, any issues with the factory anti theft system that needs attention either during or after replacement?

It should just snap in. The security system - if you vehicle is equipped with one- is separate.
