Mitsubishi Repair Problems? Ask a Mechanic for Answers ASAP
Hey there, thanks for the question.
How many miles are on the car?
These cars are pretty average. Not entirely fantastic nor are they a endless money pit of problems.
Things I would check out if very interested in the vehicle would be to make sure there are no service engine codes indicating a P0300.
Also make sure to run the A/C for a bit and check to make sure the floor does not get wet with condensation which is a known issue.
Lastly check convertible top operation, the tops don't have many issues, but when they do it can be pricey, so make sure the top operates well and does not make noises or operate real jerky.
If you can get a good price on it, would be a good car for your grandson.
