Customer Question

I made a mistake by putting sealant for the radiator in the oil. My oil pump quit working or is clogged and I need to get the oil pan off.
JA: When was your last oil change?
Customer: I was changing the oil for the first time after a rebuild. I had a small oil leak at the back of the motor that kept fouling the starter. I was trying to stop that leak.
JA: What is the model/year of your Mitsubishi?
Customer: 2001
JA: Are you hoping to fix this yourself? What have you tried so far?
Customer: Yes, I've dropped the oil so far
JA: Anything else you think the mechanic should know?
Customer: Can I fix this without removing oil pan?

This is a very big job, the front differential has to be lowered for clearance . Once its out of the way its not to bad from there. See the steps in the links below.
